Oak Creek Police Bust Three People Trying to Steal $9,000 in Electronics at Meijer
Oak Creek police took three people into custody after they were caught in the act, trying to steal electronics.

OAK CREEK -- Oak Creek police took three people into custody after they were caught in the act, trying to steal more than several thousand dollars worth of electronics from Meijer.
According to the police report, Oak Creek police were called to the Meijer on 171 W. Town Square Way at approximately 2:35 a.m. on Oct. 28 on a report of a retail theft in progress.
Police were informed by store security that three people were "loading up merchandise" inside the store and were preparing for a getaway in a white van that was parked in the parking lot.

Officers made contact with a male suspect in the parking lot and found that he had opened a cardboard box for a grill and loaded it with approximately $3,000 in electronics.
According to police, two female suspects were inside Meijer at the time, attempting to evade authorities.
When police caught up with them and made contact, they learned the suspects had opened and loaded vacuum boxes with $3,000 each worth of electronics and other merchandise.

The male suspect was transported to Wheaton Franciscan Hospital on a report of chest pains. Police found that the suspect had a felony fugitive warrant active through the State of Illinois.
