Oak Creek police K9 officer Stanley was instrumental in getting a domestic violence suspect to surrender after a reported incident.

OAK CREEK, WI — Oak Creek police K9 officer Stanley was instrumental in getting a domestic violence suspect to surrender after a reported incident at the Oak Park Apartments on June 17, just after 11 a.m.
According to police reports, a woman was requesting her boyfriend to be removed after she found an unspecified number of pills, and then told him to get out.

Police reports state that the boyfriend pushed the woman and ripped her shirt before jumping off of a second-story balcony and trying to flee the scene on foot.

According to reports, an officer had K9 Stanley on the perimeter of the scene, and gave orders for the suspect to give up. The officer had Stanley bark while giving the orders. The man, who was found on a lower balcony of the apartment, gave up immediately.
