Oak Creek 'Pug Day' Goes Awry

Did a pug attack a visiting bulldog, or was it the other way around? A "pug day" at an Oak Creek hotel got pugnacious.

OAK CREEK, WI — A 'pug day' event at the local Comfort Suites on 13th St. went awry on May 20 after a bulldog on a leash reportedly attacked another pug and a person - but not before a pug attacked the bulldog, eyewitnesses say.

According to Oak Creek police reports, officers were dispatched to the 13th St. location after a bulldog attack left a man's finger bleeding during the dog-based altercation.

According to the report, the person who was bit was treated at the scene by Oak Creek fire department rescue personnel, and then drove himself to St. Luke's South Shore for further treatment.

According to reports, there were conflicting stories about which pug attacked the bulldog, as there were numerous pug on scene prepping for a "pug day" event.
