Oak Creek Water Runoff Mysteriously Turned Blue
A resident on the 1100 block of Puetz Rd. called police and the water department after gathering rainwater was turning blue.

OAK CREEK, WI — Oak Creek police responded to the 1100 block of E. Puetz Rd. just after 11:30 a.m. on June 29 on a report that the rain water that was gathering in a resident's drainage culvert was turning blue.
The resident called the water department and explained the same thing, stating that they were concerned for the area wildlife and children that happen to play nearby.
Police reported that they reached the Water Department, who explained that they believe the cause of the blue water was due to water runoff from an area pond that was treated for algae or weed control, and that heavy rains led excess water to the resident's culvert.
