Oak Creek Woman's 9 mm Handgun Stolen From Car

OAK CREEK, WI — Oak Creek police responded to the 2200 block of W. Southbranch Blvd. on a report of a vehicle break-in on the evening of Aug. 4.
According to police, a 911 caller reported that someone broke into her 1999 white Toyota Corolla and stole her purple 9 mm Ruger handgun, estimated at $400 in value.
According to reports, the car was locked at the time, and the suspect broke the passenger-side window and entered the car's glove box where the gun was stored.

The owner stated that only her ex-boyfriend knows where she keeps her gun.
Reports state that a witness told police that they heard glass breaking and observed a person about six-foot-two in a gray hoodie running from the car while tucking something into his pants. He was last seen running north and then east on Southbranch.
