Officers Force Entry, Save Unresponsive Man's Life With NARCAN
The man reportedly had a pulse, but was not breathing and was starting to turn blue. That's when officers decided to act to save his life.

OAK CREEK, WI — As communities across Wisconsin grapple with drug overdose cases, an officer in Oak Creek administered two doses of NARCAN - an anti-overdose drug - to revive a man and likely save his life.
On Feb. 10 just after 4 a.m., officers responded to a residence on the 9400 block of S. 20th St. on a report of an apparent drug overdose.
When officers arrived, they knocked on the door and received no answer, but observed someone inside the room.

Officers made entry into the apartment based on information obtained during the 911 call. When they made entry, they found a man laying face down and unresponsive.

An officer advised Oak Creek fire department personnel to come into the room to begin rescue breathing.
The officer administered two doses of NARCAN, and a short time later the man became responsive and "very argumentative."
He was transported to Wheaton Franklin where he refused treatment and was released.
According to the police report, the man denied taking any drugs, telling police that he usually has "rough nights like this." Officers noted in the report that the man had numerous track marks visible on his arms.
