POLICE BLOTTER: Burglary at Oak Shores Apartments

Investigators found the front door of an apartment unit at the Oak Shores Apartments kicked in, and the rear patio door standing open.

OAK CREEK -- Oak Creek police responded to an apartment complex at 2325 Briar Lake Way on a report of a burglary.

According to the report, an investigator found the front door of an apartment unit at the Oak Shores Apartments kicked in, and the rear patio door standing open.

The bedroom appeared to be rummaged through and officers recorded the following missing items: a laptop valued at $250, an antique white gold ring with three dimonds totaling approximately 1.5 carats valued at $3,000, a white gold diamond and star-shaped sapphire necklace pendant valued at $300, an antique gold ring with an oval-shaped ruby stone valued at $100, a gold ring with heart-shaped ruby valued at $100, a black square-faced Sony watch with black rubber wristbands valued at $199, a black Galaxy S2 notebook laptop valued at $300 and a glass weather station display valued at $50. The incident reportedly occurred between 7:15 a.m. and 2:30 p.m.

Officers reported that another unit in the apartment had its door damaged by an attempted break-in at nearly the same reporting time as the other incident.
