Police Called Over Middle-Schooler's Cell Phone Damaged

OAK CREEK, WI — How young is too young for your sons or daughters to bring a cell phone with them to school?

An Oak Creek East middle school student's parents called police on June 8 on a report that her son got his phone damaged by another seventh grader while at the school.

The parent told police that the school was aware of the incident. The parents however were concerned that nothing was going to be done about it.

According to police reports, a girl threw the cell phone at another girl, striking her in the shoulder.

The other girl threw it back, at which point the cell phone fell, causing about $50 in damage.
