Police Contacted Over Oak Creek Student's Anti-Bullying Shirt

An anti-bullying shirt worn to school that stated "Kill Bullies," "exterminate them like bugs" also had a fellow student's name on it.

OAK CREEK -- Oak Creek police were called to Deerfield Elementary School after a student was observed wearing an anti-bullying shirt with a message that was considered disturbing to a fellow student.

According to the police report, on Oct. 19, a Deerfield Elementary parent was informed by their son that another student wore an anti-bullying shirt to school that stated "Kill Bullies," "exterminate them like bugs" and also bore the exact name of their son on it as well.

After hearing about this, the parents of the son, whose name appeared on the other boy's shirt, contacted school officials who promised to look into the matter.

Police made contact with the shirt-wearing boy's mother, who denied ever seeing the shirt, and also told police she was "unaware of any problems or concern for using the words 'kill' and 'exterminate' with other student's names".

The parent who told this to police also informed officers that the immediate family on her ex-husband's side of the family are police officers, so there are guns in his father's house.
