Police Officer and Wife Infected with Flesh-Eating Bacteria - How You Can Help

MILWAUKEE -- A Milwaukee police officer and wife need the public's help after a nightmare scenario in which the couple were both infected with a rare flesh-eating bacteria.

According to a report from ABC 13, Carmen Greene was scheduled for a routine procedure to remove a cyst. They say 24 hours later, she developed a bacterial disease - a flesh-eating bacteria - that also infected Jeremy, a Milwaukee police officer.

Now they face numerous surgeries and at least a month of hospitalization time to battle the bacterial infection.
