Police Track Down Oak Creek 12-Year-Old Who Took Mom's Car

A 12-year-old reportedly took and drove his parent's car after a dispute between he and his parent about having friends over.

OAK CREEK, WI — A 12-year-old reportedly took and drove his parent's car after a dispute between he and his parent about having friends over the previous day.

According to police reports, officers responded to the 9300 block of Orchard Park Cir. on June 16 on a report of a man and a son having an argument before the son took the car and fled.

Police reports indicate that the mother tried to keep the son in the apartment so he couldn't leave while the dad was scolding him.

Police reports state that as he was sent to his room, he escaped out his bedroom window and left with the mother's car.

Police found the boy at a different apartment where he was upset.

The reports indicate that the parents did not want to pursue any action for their son taking the car. Police advised that the Milwaukee Bureau of Child Welfare would be reaching out to the family regarding the situation.
