Rash of Vehicle Break-Ins Reported in Oak Creek

Oak Creek police fielded several calls regarding thefts of personal property from inside vehicles occurring over night on Oct. 22.

OAK CREEK - Oak Creek police fielded several calls regarding thefts of personal property from inside vehicles occurring over night on Oct. 22.

1) A resident on the 7500 block of S. Pine Ave. reported that she and her husband's vehicles were gone through overnight. Both vehicles were reportedly unlocked. $15 in dollar gold coins were reported missing.

2) An unlocked vehicle on the 200 block of E. Drexel Ave. was entered overnight. $2.00 in change was stolen.

3) $10 in change and approximately $50 in CDs were stolen from an unlocked vehicle on the 250 block of E. Drexel Ave. The call came in to police just after 1 p.m.

4. $10 in change was stolen from the center console of a vehicle parked on the 200 block of E. Drexel Ave.

5) Someone tried to remove the stereo system from a vehilce on the 900 block of Marquette Ave. between 3-7 a.m. Other items from the car were taken from the vehicle and dumped out on the front yard.

6) A black leather wallet containing $120 in cash among other items was taken from a vehicle parked on the 200 block of E. Field Stone Circle. The suspects also removed a black plastic container from the garage containing personal items.

7) A caller reported that vehicles were gone through and change was taken sometime after 1 a.m. from vehicles parked on the 7400 block of S. Quincy Ave.
