Scam Alert: Fraudulent Oak Creek Fire/EMS Donation Calls Going Around the Area

OAK CREEK -- Oak Creek fire department officials are reporting that they have heard heard that residents in Oak Creek are getting phone calls seeking donations for "Oak Creek EMTs and Firefighters".

Oak Creek fire department officials want residents to be aware that "This 100% a scam."

According to a Facebook post written by the Oak Creek fire department around Thanksgiving, "Every so often this type of scam makes it around Southeastern Wisconsin. The caller will typically use the name of your local fire department in an effort to get you to give them money. Please DO NOT give these callers any of your personal information."
