Woman Flees Oak Creek Police at 100 MPH; is Arrested in Caledonia
Police spotted the woman's vehicle driving down South Howell Ave. in Oak Creek on April 1, without any headlights, a flat tire and swerving.

OAK CREEK, WI — A Columbus woman who said she was trying to get to Sun Prairie was arrested by Caledonia police after she initially fled from Oak Creek police at 100 miles per hour on South Howell Ave.
Ashley Weisman was arrested and charged with fleeing and eluding an officer.
According to her criminal complaint, Oak Creek police located Weisman's vehicle driving southbound in the 7600 block of South Howell Ave. in Oak Creek on April 1, without any headlamps illuminated, a flat front driver’s side tire, and swerving on the roadway.

Given her observations, the officer activated her squad car’s lights in an attempt to stop the vehicle.
According to the criminal complaint, the vehicle initially slowed down and braked, but then continued to drive southbound on South Howell Ave.

When the officer activated her squad car’s sirens, Weisman began to increase in speed, reaching speeds of up to about 100 miles per hour as it traveled on South Howell, nearly hitting another vehicle in the 9800 block.
Police also say Weisman ran a red light at the intersection of South Howell Ave. and Oakwood Rd. Oak Creek police broke off pursuit when it crossed the county line. They reportedly advised the Caledonia Police Department of the pursuit.
Weisman was arrested at approximately 1:25am by the Caledonia Police Department and identified as Ashley Weisman. She was cited by the Caledonia Police Department for Operating While Intoxicated, and for possession of narcotic drugs and open intoxicants.
According to her criminal complaint, Weisman stated she was driving the vehicle and was travelling from Milwaukee to Sun Prairie. Weisman stated she observed police activate their squad’s siren and lights but did not stop.
