Data center's Oracle dismisses request for legal review of PSC (gmtoday.com) — Oracle has dropped its court challenge against Wisconsin's Public Service Commission over special electric rates tied to the massive Lighthouse Data Center Campus planned in Port Washington. The decision clears a key regulatory hurdle for the AI-focused facility, which will draw huge power loads under customized Wisconsin Electric tariffs. Oracle says it will pay its own way while continuing to work with local leaders and the community.
   

2. 'A place we can actually call home': Port Washington firefighters, police officers move into new station (tmj4.com) — Port Washington's police and fire crews have officially moved into a new $32 million combined public safety building at Grand Avenue and County Highway LL, adding space, modern living quarters, and advanced training tools. The project is under budget, includes Ozaukee County's first burn house and a high-tech police simulator, and the old stations will be redeveloped into condos. Residents can tour the new facility at an open house in October.
   

3. Energy, Experience, Faith Fuel New Pius XI President (catholicherald.org) — Former Port Washington mayor Tom Mlada has taken over as president of Pius XI Catholic High School, drawing on a career that's spanned city hall, nonprofits, and parish work. He says his Catholic faith and varied leadership roles prepared him for guiding students' academic and spiritual growth. School leaders praise his energy and see his arrival as a Spirit-led fit for the community.
   

4. Cutting the meats by day, dropping the beats by night (gmtoday.com) — A Waukesha meat cutter who DJs as "J Prime" on weekends has been building a following at venues across southeastern Wisconsin, including Port Washington. He tailors his sets to each crowd, hauling his own gear and reading the room instead of relying on fixed playlists. Support from a local DJ collective and his flexible work schedule have helped him turn this side passion into steady gigs.
