• Eagle Girls Second at Mishicot CC Meet (doorcountypulse.com) — Sturgeon Bay's girls cross-country team placed ninth at the Jim Bremser Invitational, led by freshman Abigail Matson's solid 37th-place finish in 23:33.9. Southern Door and Sevastopol runners also turned in strong performances, with two Door County sophomores cracking the top five and Southern Door's girls taking second overall among small schools. 
• Obituary: Jesse Alan Madoche (doorcountypulse.com) — Family and friends in Sturgeon Bay are mourning Jesse Alan Madoche, a skilled craftsman, outdoorsman, and demolition derby enthusiast remembered for his devotion to family and hands-on talents. Visitation is set for Thursday evening at Forbes Funeral Home in Sturgeon Bay and continues Friday morning before a Mass of Christian Burial in Dyckesville.
