Arby's On Silvernail Closed Due To Friday Fire: Report

When first responders arrived at the Silvernail Arby's they reportedly saw flames coming from the top of the building.

WAUKESHA, WI -- The Arby's on Silvernail Road will remain closed for the foreseeable future following a fire Friday morning.

According to the Waukesha Fire Department, first responders were called to the scene just after 9 a.m. on a report that flames were visible on the roof of the Arby's at 1910 Silvernail Road.

Fire officials said fire crews entered the building after everyone else was out, and went to the roof to put out a fire that started in the fast food restaurant's deep fryer ventilation system.

When the fire was investigated by the Waukesha Fire and Police departments, they learned that a cardboard oil container was left on to of one of the fryers by accident, leading to the fire.

One Arby's employee was assessed by fire personnel and released on the scene. There were no other injuries to the public, nor to emergency personnel who responded Friday morning.
