WAUKESHA – Good Friend, Inc. (Waukesha) and The Ability Center (Wauwatosa) are working together to create “A Night in Monte Carlo”, their inaugural fundraising event, on Thursday, Nov. 10th, from 5:30 to 10 p.m., at the Hyatt Regency Hotel ballroom, 333 W. Kilbourn Ave., Milwaukee.
With a silent auction featuring commissioned art, casino-style gaming, a Texas Hold ‘Em tournament,
food and beverages, and more, GFI and TAC founders are looking forward to welcoming the community to learn more about their inclusive visions for schools and communities and to support their efforts.
Autism, a neuro-biological disorder diagnosed in 1% of children in the U.S. (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, 2009), is prevalent in school settings. GFI’s services mitigate the difficulties by explaining autism spectrum disorder in age-appropriate, user-friendly terminology, thereby providing the foundation for social support desperately needed by children with ASD.
