Former Green Bay Packer wide receiver Don Beebe will speak at Delafield's Christ the King Lutheran Church on Sun, Oct 25, at 10:45am.

Former Green Bay Packer wide receiver Don Beebe will speak at Delafield’s Christ the King Lutheran Church on Sunday, October 25, at 10:45 a.m., as part of the church’s Stewardship Sunday celebration. The Stewardship Sunday program will begin with a 9 a.m. worship service with Pastor Steve Jerbi of All Peoples Church in Milwaukee preaching and Christ the King Pastor Lindsay Jordan conducting the service.

Following the service, a breakfast/brunch will be served in the church’s Great Hall with a free-will offering, then Don Beebe will speak. The worship service, brunch, and Don Beebe’s talk are all open to the public. He will speak about his Christian faith and the part that faith played out in his life. He will be available for autographs as well. The public who are coming to the brunch and to hear Don Beebe are asked to call the church at 262-646-2343 to say how many coming, so enough food can be prepared.

Beebe is considered one of the fastest players in NFL history. As wide receiver, he played for the Buffalo Bills, the Carolina Panthers, and the Green Bay Packers. In 1996-97, he played an important role in the Packers winning Super Bowl XXXI, catching 39 passes for 606 yards and adding another 403 yards. Beebe now coaches for Aurora Christian School in Illinois and works with athletes through House of Speed, a franchise he founded in 2006.
