The Sanctuary Choir of Christ the King Lutheran Church, 1600 S. Genesee Street, Delafield, is presenting a Good Friday musical cantata titled Once Upon A Tree, April 18, at 7 p.m.
Seeing Holy Week through the eyes of the Apostle Luke, composer Pepper Choplin presents the story of life that touches all aspects of the human experience: the celebration of the triumphal entry, the struggle of Gethsemane, the tenderness of a mother’s grief and the anger spawned by injustice.
The presentation is free and open to the public.
Easter Sunday services will be at 7 a.m., followed by an Easter breakfast at 8 a.m., then a second service at 10 a.m.
An ELCA (Evangelical Lutheran Church of America) church, Christ the King continually welcomes new members.
