Healthcare IT Firm With Waukesha Facility Has Been Acquired
Talon Healthy IT Services, with offices in WI and NC, is now part of TN-based HCTec, another healthcare IT services firm.

WAUKESHA, WI —Talon Healthy IT Services, a Winston-Salem, North Carolina-based provider of information technology services to mostly healthcare clients, which has a service center facility in Waukesha, has been acquired by Brentwood, Tennessee-based HCTec.
HCTec, a 500-plus-employee IT services firm also serving diverse health systems and healthcare provider organizations, announced the acquisition in a press release. Acquiring Talon, which has 90 employees spread across its Waukesha and Winston Salem locations, accelerates HCTec's growth and improves its ability to serve healthcare providers across the U.S., according to its CEO Bill Grana.
"HCTec's mission is to enhance the effectiveness of our healthcare provider clients and improve quality of experience for patients through innovative IT staffing, managed services and deep electronic health record (EHR) expertise," Grana said.

"We're proud to welcome Talon into the HCTec family, opening up greater opportunities to provide expanded capabilities to our clients, with a special focus on patient-facing support."
According to its website, Talon opened up its Waukesha office, at W223N720 Saratoga Drive, in 2017, with mission of providing parallel operations to the North Carolina office, allowing for "interruption-proof" service to clients. The company also provides localized on-site support to clients in the greater Milwaukee area.

Together, the Winston Salem and Waukesha offices have helped Talon earn many plaudits. In a 2021 Application Management & Help Desk Services report by independent research organization KLAS, Talon was rated as the top performer within the category of firms specializing in help desk services, with an overall performance score of 97.8 on a 100-point scale.
Talon President and CEO Mike Linville, said becoming part of HCTec will give Talon's clients access to a greater portfolio of healthcare IT services.
