New Plans For Fischer Creative Arts Center Brought Forward

Plans call for a Haunted Tour, Laser Tag, Radio Controlled Car races, Fun House, Escape Room, Paint Ball and more.

WAUKESHA, WI -- A Waukesha building may be getting new life as a multi-purpose entertainment center after its owner has brought plans forward to the city.

Dennis Fischer, owner of the Fischer Creative Arts Center, 223 Maple Ave. in Waukesha, has submitted plans to renovate the property for a new amusement center.

According to Waukesha Plan Commission documents, Fischer is proposing to use the basement for the amusement activities. Such activities will include a Haunted Tour, Laser Tag, Radio Controlled Car races, Fun House, Escape Room, Paint Ball, Music practice and rehearsal space.

According to documents, the first floor will have a waiting area for the haunted tours. An outdoor performance deck is also proposed behind the building for live entertainment.

Hours of operation will be from 10 a.m. to 11 p.m. 7 days a week. A plan for haunted tours has been included. City officials say Fischer will need to work closely with the Building Inspection Dept. and Fire Dept. concerning needed inspections and occupancy approvals for changing events.

Officials noted that a formal parking agreement with neighboring properties must be submitted to the City. Members of the city plan commission will be reviewing plans during their Oct. 10 meeting at 6:30 p.m. at City Hall.
