Obituary: Shirley May Brown

Waukesha woman lived her life with adventure.

She was the oldest of seven children born on May 28, 1923, growing up in Roanoke, Virginia.  Her pioneer spirit began with her first job as the first female in cost accounting during World War II for American Viscose rayon plant.  At 80, she retired from the Washington D.C. Surviving are her daughters Alice of Waukesha, Clara of Thiensville, Barbara of Ames, IA, son Robert of Madison, five grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, other relatives and friends.
