Person Shot Dead At Fletcher Arms: Police
A woman shot herself in the head Wednesday after renting a firearm and range time, according to police.
WAUKESHA, WI — A woman who rented a firearm, ammunition and target at Fletcher Arms on Wednesday apparently took her own life at the range, according to police.
Waukesha police responded to Fletcher Arms, 1441 Main St., just before noon on a report that a gun user who was firing rounds at the gun range had shot herself.
Police told Patch that at one point during her time at the range, the 53-year-old woman put the firearm into her mouth and discharged a round into her head, causing death.

An employee at Fletcher Arms learned that a woman suffered a self-inflicted gunshot wound, according to reports. She called police and then went to check on the woman. Reports stated that she was not breathing and unconscious.
