Steaming Cup To Re-Open Following Aug. 14 Fire
Firefighters said that carelessly-discarded smoking materials led to the fire. Now the Steaming Cup is planning to re-open. Here's when:

WAUKESHA, WI -- The Steaming Cup, located at 340 W. Main St. in Waukesha, will re-open its doors on Friday, Aug. 31 after a two week-closure to repair the business following a fire earlier this month.
The damage was done on Tuesday, Aug. 14 when a fire broke out in Downtown Waukesha resulting in damage to three area businesses: Spring City Wine House, The Clarke Hotel and The Steaming Cup.
The coffee shop and cafe, which is owned and operated by husband and wife team Cristina and Jason Tofte, did not sustain serious damages due to fire or water, they told Patch. However, there was significant smoke damage in both the cafe and basement storage area.

“It has taken time to reopen, but we feel very fortunate that no one was seriously injured in the fire and that we’ve been able to fully restore the interior of the cafe,” said co-owner Cristina Tofte.
Once reopened, The Steaming Cup will resume its regular hours: Monday through Thursday from 6:30 a.m. to 8 p.m., Friday and Saturday from 6:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Sunday from 8 a.m to 2 p.m.
