Waukehsa Officials To Step Up Patrols After Rash Of Crimes
Authorities say these incidents happened overnight on Sept. 8 and 9 in Pewaukee, Sussex and Lisbon, and that they're all related.

WAUKESHA COUNTY, WI — Authorities in Waukesha County say they're going to be doing more neighborhood patrols after several crimes were reported over the weekend. The Waukesha County Sheriff’s Office is investigating several reports of thefts from unlocked vehicles, entries to garages, and two vehicle thefts.
Authorities in Racine County say they're seeing a rash of similar crimes happening this week. One resident captured a surveillance photo of the guys accused in that crime spree.
Authorities say these incidents happened overnight on Sept. 8 and 9 in Pewaukee, Sussex and Lisbon, and that they're all related. According to sheriff's officials, suspects are opening the garage doors of homes with garage door openers found in unlocked vehicles.

As a reminder to the public, the Waukesha County Sheriff’s Office strongly encourages all citizens to keep their vehicles and garage doors locked to prevent being victims of property crime. In addition, please remove all valuables from your vehicle, including car and house keys.
