• Fall Hunting Seasons Set to Begin Across Northeast Wisconsin (tchdailynews.com) — Hunters in and around Waupaca County can expect a busy start to fall, with bear season opening next week and archery deer season beginning September 12. State wardens note Waupaca County's strong deer harvest history and smaller bear numbers, and remind hunters to properly register their animals by 5 p.m. the day after recovery. 
• Clintonville Officer Injured After Being Struck by Vehicle During 911 Call (tchdailynews.com) — A Clintonville police officer was treated and released from the hospital after being struck by a fleeing vehicle during a 911 call, and the Waupaca County Sheriff's Office is now leading the investigation. The driver allegedly hit the officer while leaving a driveway argument, then was later arrested in Fond du Lac County as multiple local agencies assisted.
