1. UPDATE: Wauwatosa police arrest teen suspect in Mayfair Mall robbery (wtmj.com) — Wauwatosa police say they've arrested a 15-year-old in connection with an attempted armed robbery near the Mayfair Mall food court, where a suspect allegedly pointed a gun and demanded a phone. Officers credit public tips for helping identify the teen, and charges are now pending as investigators continue gathering information about the July 17 incident.

2. Wauwatosa barbers lean on community support after overnight fire damages The Barber Social (tmj4.com) — A recent fire damaged The Barber Social on Bluemound Road, leaving several Wauwatosa barbers suddenly without tools, chairs, or income and forcing them into temporary space in Brookfield. Community members and nearby barbershops have stepped up with equipment, chairs, and donations, while a GoFundMe aims to help the independent barbers replace gear and cover living expenses as they decide whether the Wauwatosa location can reopen.

3. Man accused of breaking into Wauwatosa pub in Packers robe, leaving 2 children home alone (cbs58.com) — Police say a 39-year-old man broke into Jackson's Blue Ribbon Pub in Wauwatosa, allegedly stealing alcohol while his two young children were left home alone. Prosecutors have charged him with burglary, child neglect, and obstructing an officer after officers reportedly found him nearby in a Packers robe and later located the unharmed children at his apartment.

4. Apartments could replace Bay View church, and include worship space (bluewaterhealthyliving.com) — A Bay View church is considering replacing its aging building with a 55-unit apartment complex that still includes worship and ministry space, reflecting how congregations adapt to shrinking membership. For Wauwatosa readers, the story echoes recent changes at St. Bernard Congregation and other area churches, highlighting a broader regional trend of churches being demolished or repurposed as housing or community spaces.
