The August Animal House session is titled “Habitat for Animals” and will be led by naturalist Mike Bardgett Thursday, Aug. 12.

An animal’s habitat is its home and where it lives and roams. What types of habitats attract which animal residents? What do animals do when they lose their habitat? Participants will engage in hands-on activities designed to learn about the environments animals chose to live in. Each session lasts approximately half an hour and takes place in the museum’s beautiful backyard.

Three sessions will be held at 12:30-1, 1:15-1:45, and 2-2:30 p.m. All Animal House presentations are designed for elementary school children and their families, but all are welcome. Due to the popularity of Animal House, reservations are appreciated, but walk-ins are never turned away, according to India Hayford, museum assistant.

The Werner Wildlife Museum is located off the Casper College campus at 405 E. 15th Street and is open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday. To find out more about the August session or make reservations, call 307-235-2108 or email indiahayford@caspercollege.edu.
