📰 News we're reading
• East finishes strong to down visiting Campbell County (wyomingnews.com) — Cheyenne East's volleyball team bounced back at home with a four-set win over Campbell County, tightening play after a late timeout. Local standouts like Halley House and Karley Schuessler led a strong offensive and defensive effort, giving Cheyenne fans reason for optimism as the Thunderbirds push deeper into their season.
• Laramie County weekly arrest report (9/25/26–10/2/26) (capcity.news) — Law enforcement agencies in and around Cheyenne have released last week's arrest log, detailing a wide range of alleged offenses from DUI and drug possession to domestic violence, theft, and probation violations. The list covers adult suspects contacted by Laramie County authorities between Sept. 25 and Oct. 2, and reflects recommended charges rather than final convictions.
• Wyoming Artists Say AI Fakes And Asian Sweatshops Threaten Western Art Market (cowboystatedaily.com) — Cheyenne artists and gallery owners are warning that AI-generated images, combined with overseas painting "sweatshops," could flood the Western art market with deceptive forgeries. Local artist Georgia Roswell and gallery owner Harvey Deselms share how they're responding, while others across Wyoming debate whether AI is a dangerous shortcut or just another tool collectors must learn to navigate carefully.
