City officials also reported progress on the Edinburgh Street rebuild and a multimillion‑dollar upgrade to the Sage Creek water pipeline, with some road closures easing and more work starting later this month.
   

• Two Sheriff's Office Employees Honored by Wyoming Peace Officers Association (bigfoot99.com) — Two Carbon County Sheriff’s Office employees with strong ties to Rawlins are being honored by the Wyoming Peace Officers Association, including a sergeant who survived a June shooting and recently returned to town. Sheriff Alex Bakken is also urging support for a state bill that would recognize dispatchers as first responders and extend mental‑health benefits to them.
