A man died on Thursday from his injuries after being struck by a car, according to police. Johnny Ray Wines, 56, was trying to cross the street when a Hyundai Elantra — traveling southbound on Route 1 near Whiskey Bottom Road — hit him, police said. >>> Read more.
Harford County Sheriff Jeffrey Gahler identified the two deputies killed in a shootout Wednesday that began at Panera in Abingdon. The officers were called to the restaurant Wednesday morning for a man who had an outstanding warrant for his arrest.
