Fallen Deputies Escorted Back to Harford County

Police and fire personnel made way for two deputies killed in the line of duty to come home.

The two deputies killed in the line of duty returned to Harford County Thursday evening.

Officials said there may be delays on Interstate 95, MD 152/Mountain Road and US 40 Thursday after 5:30 p.m., as the bodies of two fallen officers were escorted back to Harford County.

Senior Deputy Patrick Dailey and Senior Deputy Mark Logsdon were shot and killed in Abingdon Wednesday while responding to a call about a man with warrants out for his arrest, according to the Harford County Sheriff’s Office. Afterward, their bodies were taken to the medical examiner’s office in Baltimore.

A funeral for Deputy Dailey is planned for Wednesday, Feb. 17. Services for Deputy Logsdon have not yet been announced.
