Victims Identified In Army Helicopter Crash In St. Mary's County
Spc. Jeremy Darrell Tomlin, 22, originally of Chapel Hill, N.C., was pronounced dead at the scene, according to a statement the U.S. Army Military District of Washington provided to the Associated Press. Chief Warrant Officer Christopher Nicholas and Capt. Terikazu Onoda are being treated at a Baltimore hospital, according to the Army. All three were stationed at the Fort Belvoir military base in Virginia.

Warrants Block People From Tax Refunds In Howard County
Instead of their tax refunds, those with warrants out for their arrest will receive letters in the mail directing them to clear up their legal issues. Howard County authorities provided a list of names to the Maryland comptroller of those associated with the 2,000 open warrants in Howard County.

Maryland Blue Crab Female Numbers Hit Record In Bay Survey
The Maryland Department of Natural Resources just released the results of the 2017 Blue Crab Winter Dredge Survey, which shows that the population of crabs remains resilient and steady. The count for female crab numbers is up significantly, with a surge in spawning-age female crabs to the highest level recorded in the 28-year history of the baywide survey. Spawning-age female crab numbers are up 31 percent to historic highs, officials say.
