A man was arrested in the murder of a 3-year-old Baltimore girl outside her Waverly home in 2014, authorities announced Wednesday morning. U.S. Attorney for the District of Maryland Rod Rosenstein said he would take McKenzie Elliott's portrait with him to Washington, D.C., Wednesday afternoon to remind those in government of the "extraordinary work" from those on the front lines, including the Baltimore Police Department.

'Leave Cute, Cuddly Wildlife Alone,' Montgomery County Health Officials Say
Several times in recent weeks, individuals who handled young animals had to receive a series of rabies shots. Maryland law prohibits residents from possessing certain wild animals, including raccoons and foxes, because these and other animals can pose a significant risk to humans. “Wild baby animals may be cute and cuddly, but they should be left outside," health officials advised.
