Fisherman Goes Missing As NJ Deals With 4 Heartbreaking Events

A family continued to anxiously await word about a missing fisherman on Monday, one of several heartbreaking incidents that happened in New Jersey this weekend.

Sam DeLarso's daughter, Samantha, said her father mysteriously disappeared on Saturday morning after he went to get bait. "I never in 1 million years thought I'd have to make a post like this but my dad, Sam DeLarso, is MISSING!!!" Samantha posted on Facebook.

Here's what also happened this weekend:

• A North Jersey woman was killed in a multi-vehicle crash in town Saturday night, authorities announced. Marcelina Carino, 83, of Totowa was driving a 2012 Honda Civic that was involved in the crash. She was pronounced dead a short time later, authorities said. • The identity of the pedestrian killed in a fatal Route 4 crash in Elmwood Park Friday has been released.
  Edier Lopez, 47, of Paterson, was positively identified by a family member Sunday at the Bergen County Medical Examiner's Office, said Elmwood Park Police Chief Michael Foligno. Read more here...
• A 59-year-old woman was killed this weekend while she was walking on a highway, authorities said. Sonia Naranjo died after she was struck in a motor vehicle crash at approximately 12:02 a.m. Sunday in Neptune Township, announced Monmouth County Prosecutor Christopher J. Gramiccioni.
