Citizen Tips Lead To Recent Drug Arrests In Jefferson County
Jefferson County citizens have played a big part in getting illegal drugs and firearms off of their streets this week.

JEFFERSON COUNTY, AL — Tips from Jefferson County citizens have led to multiple arrests and the seizure of large quantities of illegal narcotics this week.
Sgt. Joni Money of the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office said Vice and Narcotics teamed up with the Sheriff’s Neighborhood Enforcement Team to follow up on tips received from Jefferson County citizens.
Money said The mission resulted in multiple arrests, seizure of at least 50 grams of heroin, 15 grams of cocaine, methamphetamine, ecstasy, marijuana, multiple illegal firearms and more than $27,000 in cash.

"When citizens take a part in the safety of their community by partnering with law enforcement, good things happen," Money said. "These arrests will take our community one step closer to a safer Jefferson County."
