She's afraid to send him back, wants clearer answers from Birmingham City Schools, and is calling for classroom cameras for students with disabilities who can't explain what happens to them.
   

4. Birmingham Zoo preparing for 'Hoots & Howls' Halloween celebration (cbs42.com) — Families in Birmingham can start planning now for the Birmingham Zoo's 'Hoots & Howls' daytime Halloween celebration, running on select dates from Oct. 10 through Halloween. The event will feature candy stations, magic shows, animal presentations, and dinosaur-themed fun, with optional Candy Trail wristbands for unlimited train rides and tower climbs alongside regular zoo admission.

He recalls leaving a New York medical conference to cross the Brooklyn Bridge into danger, treating patients into the night, and says Birmingham first responders still put themselves in harm's way every day.
