BIRMINGHAM, AL — Alabama will not be represented in Washington by Martha Roby after 2020, according to an announcement she made this past week. Roby said she will not seek a 6th term representing District 2 in the United States House of Representatives.

That was just one of the big stories that made headlines on Patch this past week. In a tragic work site accident, two men died when a trench they were digging in Hoover collapsed. Hoover firefighters worked for more than two hours to get them out of the eight-foot trench.

House Fire In Wylam: Mother And 4-Year-Old Child Dead
