June 1 Shows Lowest Number Of New COVID-19 Cases In AL In Weeks
Just 338 new cases of COVID-19 were confirmed in Alabama Monday, the lowest total since May 18.
MONTGOMERY, AL — The Alabama Department of Public Health reported 338 new cases of COVID-19 Monday, which is the lowest number of new cases in a day since May 18, when the state reported new 300 cases.
Total, Alabama has confirmed 18,354 cases of the virus, with 649 deaths. In the last two weeks, 5,717 new cases of the virus have been reported. During that time, 75,671 tests have been administered in the state.
An estimated 9,355 COVID-19 patients have recovered from the virus, according to the ADPH. Since March 13, 1,879 people have been hospitalized with COVID-19.

- Mobile County: 2,271 cases, 118 deaths
- Jefferson County: 1,870 cases, 103 deaths
- Montgomery County: 1,777 cases, 43 deaths
- Tuscaloosa County: 809 cases, 16 deaths
- Marshall County: 704 cases, 9 deaths
- Franklin County: 565 cases, 8 deaths
- Lee County: 550 cases, 34 deaths
- Shelby County: 522 cases, 20 deaths
