BIRMINGHAM, AL — Nearly 10 days after the disappearance of 3-year-old Kamille McKinney, Crime Stoppers of Alabama reportedly has received more than 400 tips regarding the girl's abduction.

Police say Kamille was taken from the Tom Brown Village housing community Oct. 12, and they have followed up on hundreds of tips regarding the case. But none has successfully led them to Kamille.

Former Tuscaloosa County Sheriff Ted Sexton told WBRC this week that he thinks whoever has Kamille is likely paying close attention to the investigation.

"The facts of this will eventually come out. Those parties that were involved will be investigated and potentially prosecuted," Sexton said in a WBRC interview. "So if anybody that we’re talking to today happens to have information about this, now is the time to resolve this. Now is the time to come forward to help yourself and others."

Birmingham Police Sgt. Johnny Williams said his department and Birmingham Fire and Rescue, along with other agencies and volunteers, began a grid search at 1 p.m. Sunday in the east area of Birmingham and extending for about two miles.

The search was completed at 5:30 pm and did not produce any evidence to help the investigation, Williams said.

Kamille was last seen at a birthday party in the housing community at 8:30 p.m. Saturday. She was last seen wearing a pink T-shirt with leopard print design and leopard print shorts with no shoes. According to witnesses, a woman in a dark SUV left the location with Kamille. A reward totaling $25,000 is offered for Kamille's safe return.
