BIRMINGHAM, AL — July came to a close with several coronavirus-related stories making headlines on Patch. The week began with statewide restaurants and bars being forced to stop serving alcohol at 11 p.m, and also included Gov. Kay Ivey extending the statewide face covering mandate through August.

In other news this past week, the accused kidnappers of Kamille McKinney, who was abducted and killed in October last year, were indicted on kidnapping charges by a federal grand jury.
