Red Roof® Completes Renovation Of Red Roof Inn® and HomeTowne Studios® Birmingham-Highway 280

BIRMINGHAM, ALA. – AUG. 3, 2026 - Red Roof^®, the leader in economy lodging, has announced the renovation of the Red Roof Inn^® Birmingham-Highway 280 and HomeTowne Studios^® Birmingham-Highway 280 at 4627 Highway 280 in Birmingham, Ala.

Owners Raj and Dharmesh Patel spent $115,000 on renovations, which at the Red Roof Inn included adding new bedding, lounge chairs, artwork, shower curtains, shower heads, coffee machines, hair dryers and 50-inch TVs. Renovations at the HomeTowne Studios included adding those items as well as new stovetops, toasters, microwaves and 55-inch TVs. The exteriors of the properties were repainted, and new vending machines and signage were added. The renovation was completed in April 2026.

Both properties offer free Wi-Fi, free expanded cable, free coffee in the lobby, free long-distance calling, and free parking. The HomeTowne Studios property offers kitchenettes featuring a refrigerator, microwave and sink. A paid guest laundry is available to both properties for added convenience.

The 54-room Red Roof Inn and 42-room HomeTowne Studios Birmingham are pet-friendly hotels.

Conveniently located on Highway 280, the hotel is near a number of area landmarks and destinations, including Grandview Medical Center, Birmingham Botanical Gardens, Vulcan Park and Museum, University of Alabama at Birmingham, Barber Vintage Motorsports Museum, Birmingham Civil Rights Institute and the Birmingham Jefferson Convention Complex. Birmingham-Shuttlesworth International Airport is a short drive away.
