• Gadsden State honors 440 graduates at spring commencement (gadsdentimes.com) — Several Centre residents are among the 440 students honored at Gadsden State Community College’s spring commencement held May 14 at the Cherokee campus. The college awarded 732 total credentials, including associate degrees and certificates, with more than 130 graduates earning academic honors such as summa, magna, and cum laude distinctions. 
• Moore a 'storm' of a natural athlete at Cedar Bluff (weisradio.com) — A former Cedar Bluff sports star, Tyrone Moore, will be inducted into the Cherokee County Sports Hall of Fame during a June 6 ceremony at Richard Lindsey Arena on Gadsden State Cherokee’s Centre campus. Moore’s story traces his standout high school career, college challenges, and eventual success off the field, offering local fans a chance to celebrate his achievements close to home.
