📰 News we're reading
• Central Alabama Water shows cost-cutting progress, but revenue shortfall and infrastructure backlog loom (wbrc.com) — Central Alabama Water’s latest budget update from its Cleveland, Ala., board meeting shows costs are dropping faster than expected, but revenue is falling even more sharply, leaving a growing gap. Credit rating agencies have stabilized the utility’s outlook for now, yet warn that aging infrastructure, big capital needs, and possible future rate hikes could still affect local customers’ bills and long-term service reliability.
