Foley City Council Approves Paving More Roadways (obawebsite.com) — Foley drivers can expect smoother trips soon as the City Council approved a paving plan that will resurface 6.3 miles of streets over the next year, starting in October. Key work includes 1.54 miles of Park Avenue plus sections of Lakeview Drive, West Peachtree Avenue, and an alley between West Orange and West Myrtle. Officials say low asphalt prices allowed them to expand the project.
   

2. October events at the Foley Community Library (fox10tv.com) — Foley families can look forward to two free October events at the Foley Community Library, including a Hispanic Heritage Month Fiesta on October 2 with food, crafts, and cultural performances. Later, on October 17, kids can climb on big trucks, enjoy music, a petting zoo, and treats at the Big Rigs @ the Library Touch-a-Truck event. Both gatherings are open to everyone in Foley.
   

3. Krupinski Farm marks 100 years in Foley (fox10tv.com) — Krupinski Farm on Foley's west side is celebrating 100 years of family farming, with four generations still working the land and serving loyal local customers. The farm's spring harvest is underway, offering fresh corn and vegetables picked daily and sold directly at their stand. Family members say they're committed to keeping the Foley tradition going for the next generation.
   

4. Baldwin County suspends pistol permit processing at Robertsdale office (wkrg.com) — If you usually get your pistol permit handled at the Robertsdale sheriff's office, you'll need to switch for now, because processing there is suspended until further notice. Foley's Baldwin County Sheriff's Office location, along with Fairhope and Bay Minette, is still handling in‑person applications and renewals, and you can also complete them online.
   

5. OWA ready for Halloween season in Foley (gulfcoastmedia.com) — Foley's OWA Parks & Resort is gearing up for Halloween with its Primal Fear haunted attraction running select nights from Sept. 25 through Oct. 31, plus optional Zombie Laser Tag. Visitors can also sample themed treats like Frankenburgers, Ghost of Elvis funnel cake fries, and spooky daiquiris. Tickets range by date, with add-ons available for extra scares.
