• Linda White Dies After Jeep Hits Pole in Dale County, Driver Held (accidentinjurynews.com) — A 66-year-old woman from Geneva, Linda White, died after a Jeep left the road and hit a utility pole late Sunday near Dale County Road 1 and Alabama 92. She later passed away at a hospital, and the injured driver has been arrested on a reckless murder charge as troopers continue investigating.
   

• Ivey Sets Special Primary Election In Alabama (wiregrassdailynews.com) — Voters in Geneva County are included in a newly announced special primary election for Alabama’s 1st, 2nd, 6th and 7th Congressional Districts, set for Tuesday, August 11, 2026. Gov. Kay Ivey’s writ directs local probate judges to post notices and coordinate with county officials so precincts are ready for the summer vote.
