• North Marshall Utilities sues over PFAS contamination; latest to target chemical companies (rocketcitynow.com) — North Marshall Utilities, based in Grant and serving about 5,200 customers, has filed a federal lawsuit claiming PFAS “forever chemicals” from firefighting foam are likely contaminating its drinking water system. While a 2025 report found PFAS levels below federal limits, the utility wants extensive testing, treatment, and compliance costs covered by major chemical manufacturers through the South Carolina multidistrict litigation.
