Say Aloha! Bad Ass Coffee of Hawaii Debuts in Gulf Shores, Marking 4th Location Along the Panhandle

GULF SHORES, Alabama (June 9, 2026) –Bad Ass Coffee of Hawaii, a renowned coffee franchise celebrated for its premium Hawaiian coffees, strong community connections, adventurous spirit, and vibrant café experience is opening the doors to its newest location in Gulf Shores on June 19. Located at 520 West Beach Blvd, the new location will offer handcrafted coffees with a kick, branded merchandise, and a craveable food menu with a Hawaiian twist.
To celebrate the grand opening, guests can enjoy a variety of activities and giveaways throughout opening day, including complimentary Bad Ass dog bandanas, a gift basket giveaway featuring Bad Ass merchandise and coffee, and a “spin the wheel” promotion with chances to win drinks, merchandise, and coupons. Attendees can also relax and enjoy the outdoor seating area, complete with Corn Hole games for the community to enjoy.
Bad Ass Coffee in Gulf Shores is being brought to the area by AWA Investments, a multi-unit, multi-brand franchise group and the largest investor in Royal Aloha Coffee Company, the parent company of Bad Ass Coffee. Co-owned by Tom Wylie, President and Chief Operating Officer of Bad Ass Coffee, AWA Investments is leading a 10-unit development agreement across the Alabama Gulf Coast and Florida Panhandle, expanding the brand’s footprint along the shoreline between Gulf Shores and Panama City Beach.
Wylie said he was drawn to the Gulf Shores area and saw it as a strong fit for expanding the brand’s coastal presence, with many AWA locations positioned near beaches and waterfront destinations to serve both residents and visitors. The Gulf Shores café will be locally operated by Dina Spath and JT Spath, who will oversee day-to-day operations and help bring the brand’s community-focused approach to life in the region.
“As we continue growing along the Gulf Coast, Gulf Shores stood out as a place where we could really bring the brand’s energy to life,” said Wylie. “It’s a community that embraces that coastal lifestyle, and we’re excited to be part of that everyday rhythm.”
