Hoover Weighing Incentives for Three Commercial Projects

The Hoover City Council will consider incentives for three major shopping centers in the city.

HOOVER, AL - The Hoover City Council has scheduled a meeting for 5 p.m. on Sept. 11 to discuss the economic development incentives for three commercial developments. Under discussion are Stadium Trace Village, the Village at Brock's Gap and Whole Foods MArket Plaza. The meeting will take place at the Council Chambers at the Hoover Municipal building.

Stadium Trace Village is a 44-acre shopping center located at the intersection of I-459, John Hawkins Parkway and Stadium Trace Parkway; The Village at Brock's Gap is located on the northwest corner of Stadium Trace Parkway and Brock's Gap Parkway; and the Whole Foods Market Plaza - formerly known as Riverchase Village - is located at the southern intersection of U.S. 31 and Lorna Road. According to the Hoover Sun, additional details are not available at this time, but city officials said the projects will follow precedent and include partial rebates of sales taxes based on new sales tax revenue the city receives.
